Players who make Strat-o-Matic's regular team rosters are all draft-eligible. Strat-o-Matic's disk stats will be the standard used for eligibility determinations. Protected players will have separate minimum standards from draft-eligible players. Blackball lockups are subject to the minimum standards of draftable players, not protected players.

Minimum eligibility standards on draftable players: 50 innings or 20 saves for pure relievers, 75 innings for pitchers with both start and relief ratings, 100 innings for pure starters, and 150 at bats for hitters.

Rule on usage of pitchers as hitters: League adopts the basic hitting ratings (ie - the default cards that come on the regular team rosters) for all pitchers under 50 at bats, and allows any owner to use a "hitting" card for a pitcher with 50 at bats or more.

Relief eligibility standards expanded to include 60 appearances in addition to 50 IP or 20 saves.

Pitchers with both a starter and relief rating, who have less than a 5 inning starter rating, are eligible to start with a minimum of 50 innings.

Eligibility standards for protected players: 50 AB for hitters, 25 IP for starters, 20 IP, or 10 saves, or 20 appearances for relievers.

Sphere agrees to raise postseason eligibility standards as follows: For draft-eligible players, starting pitchers must have 75 innings, relievers must have 50 innings or 20 saves, and hitters must have 150 at bats. Postseason eligibility for protected players requires 40 innings for starters, 25 innings or 10 saves for relievers, and 75 at bats for hitters.

New eligibility standards for protected players (not to be implemented until the 2027 Sphere season (i.e. beginning with the disk that compiles the '26 MLB season). Hitters: 100 at bats. Starters: 50 innings. Relievers: 35 innings or 10 saves.
