Highlight - Jacksonville takes series as Frank Thomas slaps his 3rd homer of the series and Bobby Bonilla hits his second pinch double in 2 games, this one for one RBI. John Wetteland threw 3-2/3 innings of shutout ball from the 5th through the 8th. Rookie Darren Dreifort, who wasn't even on the semifinal roster, earns a tough save by striking out Raul Mondesi with the tying run on second to end the game.

SERIES SUMMARY: After losing Game 1 22-2, Jacksonville wins the first World Series title after being down 3 games to none in league history. Frank Thomas takes series MVP honors with a home run in each of the final three games and a .524 series average. Jeff Shaw led Jacksonville in innings pitched with 10, and carried a 0.93 series ERA into Game 7 before giving up 3 runs. Craig Biggio hit 5 doubles for Monktown.
