Highlight - Chris Carpenter dominates the series opener with one-run ball into the eighth inning, while 'Dores bats explode for 10 extra-base hits. Naxville got 13 hits from its first five spots in the lineup. Zach Greinke was hammered in the loss.

Highlight - Jacksonville knots the series with help from five scoreless relief innings. The comeback salvaged a no-decision for Felix Hernandez, who was roughed up for three runs in four innings and exited trailing 3-1. Aaron Hill hit a late home run to expand the lead, and Evan Longoria recorded three hits and scored twice.

Highlight - Justin Verlander fires eight-plus effective innings in his Jacksonville postseason debut, and ultimately his only start of the entire postseason. Hanley Ramirez and Nyjer Morgan combined to bat 6 for 7, and Andres Torres cracked a two-run pinch triple in the the crucial sixth.

Highlight - The Crusaders score what is believed to be a Microsphere postseason record 39 runs as the 'Dores stick with a fatigued Ronald Belisario for seven innings and 243 pitches to prevent further bullpen usage. Carlos Beltran hit a pair of home runs, batting 4 for 6 with six runs scored and five RBI. Joe Mauer and Andres Torres scored five runs each, while Albert Pujols and Hanley Ramirez drove in six each. Seven Crusaders had at least three hits, seven scored at least three runs and six drove in at least three. Jon Lester struck out 13 in a complete game.

Highlight - Zach Greinke fired five strong innings for the win to close out the series while the bullpen delivered four scoreless frames. Hanley Ramirez recorded two more hits and two steals, while Andres Torres hit his second pinch triple of the series 

 

SERIES SUMMARY: Hanley Ramirez took series MVP honors (.542, 13 hits, eight RBI and three steals). Other top performers include Evan Longoria (.455, six RBI), Andres Torres (5 for 10, 2 triples, eight runs scored in 10 at bats), and Todd Helton (.375, two doubles, four RBI). Adam Dunn hit a crucial two-run double in his only at bat of the series. Jacksonville hit .372 for the series. Four Jacksonville relievers completed the series without an earned run over a combined 9.1 innings (Guzman, Aardsma, O'Day, Wuertz).
