Highlight: The Monktown offense swamped Jacksonville starter Ervin Santana for five earned in three-plus IP, and Hyung-Chih Kuo fared even worse, allowing seven more to score. David Wright batted 4 for 4 with two homers and four RBI for the Slide, while Stephen Drew's two triples plated three more. Joe Mauer, Hanley Ramirez and Carlos Quentin each had three hits for Jacksonville.

Highlight: Alex Rodriguez hit a solo homer in his second straight series-ending game to help key the win. Johan Santana scattered nine hits over 5.2 IP, giving up two earned and giving way to a stellar Jacksonville bullpen. 

SERIES SUMMARY: Joakim Soria earned series MVP honors by earning a save in all four Jacksonville victories. Rafael Furcal and Carlos Quentin batted .400 over a combined 35 at bats, while Joe Mauer hit .393, Hanley Ramirez hit .389 and DH/P Carlos Zambrano hit .357 in 14 ABs. Though outhomered in  the series 20-8, Jacksonville hit 24 doubles.Monktown slugged .672 for the series, whacking 45 extra-base hits in seven games. Only Soria and Billy Wagner (2.1 IP scoreless over three games) pitched impressively for the Crusaders.
